Executive Director of Coaching and Director of Coaching and Player Development: Andy Poklad, an "A" licensed coach with the USSF and holder of the NSCAA Premier Coaching license, was the previous Head Coach and General Manager of the Nashville Metro’s professional team. He also holds NSCAA Director of Coaching and goalkeeping certificatation. He is a native of England and brings years of collegiate and professional experience to the club, having previously coached at Vanderbilt University, and Western Kentucky University as well as numerous club and scholastic teams in the Middle TN area. He began his coaching career at the Coerver soccer camps in Lake Placid while playing for Ithaca College in Upstate New York where he was an “Academic All American”. Andy is currently the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the club as well as a member of the coaching and coaching education staff for the state association (TSSA). |

Technical Director: Jonathan Wayland, was born in Kentucky where he played Club, High School and ODP Soccer. He was a 2-time All-State player and was named to the NSCAA Central Region All-American team. He also played on an American Ambassador soccer team on a two-week tour of Europe. He went on to play Division 1 soccer for the University of Louisville and Belmont University where he graduated. He has previous coaching experience from Mockingbird Soccer Club in Louisville. He coached the TUSC 93 Girls Red team to the 2004 Tennessee State Championship and 2005 Tennessee State Finalist. Jonathan also ran the Academy system through U11 with the TUSC 96 Girls Red who won the 2008 Tennessee State Championship. Jonathan holds an NSCAA National Diploma, a USSF National License and an NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeper Diploma. He is the current coach of the TUSC 98 Boys Red teams. |

Stephen (Scooter) Anderson, grew up in Hendersonville. Started playing for the Hendersonville Soccer League in 1980, then played select soccer on one of the first select travel teams in 1983. He is a graduate of Hendersonville High School and member of Russ Plummer’s 1989 State Championship team. He was a player and coach of the Hendersonville(Over 30) Men’s Team. He has coached numerous boys and girls teams in the previous HSC Fever organization. Scooter currently holds a USSF “C” National license and works with the 97 girls blue team. |

Chris Bosworth, brings a wealth of coaching experience to the club. He has been the women's head coach at NCAA division 1 Belmont University for 2 seasons. Prior to that Chris was an assistant under Earle Davidson in the men's program at Belmont University. He has coached numerous boys and girls club teams in Maryland, Kentucky and Tennessee including 4 state championship teams. Chris has at various stages of his coaching career coached the Olympic development program U-17 boys and U-16 and U-18 girls. He holds a national diploma and an advanced national diploma from the NSCAA. He will be coaching the boys 94 red team at TN United. |

Bradley Camp now joins TN United on a more permanent basis having worked as a staff coach the previous seasons. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene college where he played on the men's soccer team starting two seasons as their left back. Previously Brad attended Beech high school and played, making varsity before moving onto Vol State CC. He first starting playing travel ball when he was about nine at his first club in Donelson, and he continued to play club ball with Fever 85 where he played under Pierre Langios. Brad is highly motivated to get involved with the development of players in his community and joins TN United as an Academy coach with the 2000 boys. Brad holds a USSF E license |

Jim Carr, grew up in Hendersonville playing in the beginning of HSC. He then moved to one of the first travel teams in Hendersonville at age 12. While playing at Hendersonville High School, Jim was named senior captain for Coach Russ Plumber's first senior class. As a freshman at UT Knoxville he began to build a team that competed at the highest level of student sports programs. As a player coach he directed the over 30 program in Hendersonville to a first place in regular season. Since then he has coached the youth of Hendersonville for the last 6 years. Jim holds a "D" national license and heads the 2001 boys academy program as well as being the club's tournament director. |

Allison Casalenuovo grew up in East Tennessee, playing for various clubs in the Knoxville area. She played four years at Oak Ridge High School where they made it to the state tournament all four years. Allison holds her USSF National D license and coached at Harpeth Futbol Club the past two years. She is currently playing on the Trevecca women’s team and will be coaching the girls 97 blue team. |

John Cobb is a local coach who captained the Hunters Lane high school team in the mid 90’s. John has coached for a number of years with Eagle Express and more recently with many age groups at the MTFC program in Goodlettsville. John has his E license and will be assisting coach Ferguson with the 99 boys this year. |

Jeremy Cooke, played at Beech High School and played club ball for Hendersonville in his earlier years finishing that career with the Brentwood Lasers. Jeremy has previously coached one of the 95 boys teams and has worked in the past with both the 93 and 91 boys. He currently holds a USSF "D" license and coaches the 98 girls blue team at TN United. |

Matt Exum, claims to have played soccer since he was 4 years old!! He played his junior and senior years at Station Camp high school where we advanced his senior year to the sectionals and also was made captain. He holds a USSF D license. Matt now plays club soccer for Vol State and coaches the new 2001 Academy girls teams at TN United. |

John Ferguson has 25 years of experience playing, coaching, and refereeing the game of soccer. He was a founding member of the Beech HS soccer program after moving to Tennessee his junior year, and was named All-Conference and All-State, and led the A/AA Conference in goals scored both his junior and senior years. He played for Hendersonville United for 3 years, walked on at WKU (where he realized his limitations as a player), and currently plays for Hendersonville's over-30 team. His coaching experience ranges from 6 year old rec to high school select. He currently holds a D Coaching License and is a USSF and TSSAA Referee and will be working with TUSC’s ‘99 boys blue team and the Boys 2000 academy program. |

Alex Frank, was born in 1962. A native of Romania he played soccer in Romania at FC Brasov for 15 years at all levels. He coached a division III team in Romania for 1-1/2 season before moving to the USA in 1998 with his family a wife Ana Maria, and two boys, Robert and Rudolph both playing soccer at TUSC 94 B. Alex Coached for 1 season in 1999 a coed team in Gallatin before obtaining his USSF D license in 2001. He coached the '91 boys team at MTFC Goodlettsville finished 2 in div II. In 2003 start coaching the Fever '90 boys team. In his first season at Fever '90 finished 2 in div III state. He is currently coach of the TUSC girls 95 team. |

Darren Frank, coaches the girls 98 team and works with the academy program. After a high school career attending Hendersonville high school, where he won a state championship in 1989, Darren played in college at Lenoir-Rhyne in North Carolina. Now the athletic director and assistant principle at his high school alma mater, Darren continues to be involved with that school’s soccer program as an assistant coach. He holds a USSF D license and heads the 2000 girls academy program. |

Tim Guinn, born in 1966 and grew up in Hendersonville. Family members are wife, Marla and daughters Demmie and Allie. Six years of experience coaching recreational youth soccer and previously coached the TUSC 93 Girls Blue team. Currently Tim coaches in the 97 girls red program and has a D license. |

Carlos Hernandez Has played and coached for many years both in the United States and Mexico. He received a youth coaching certificate from the UNAM soccer club ( PUMAS) qualifying him to coach boys from U7 up to U15 ages . On his arrival in Hendersonville Carlos took his E license and began coaching in the Hendersonville Soccer Club program watching his son move onto TN United and then college, and now seeing his daughter progress in the 98 age group. Carlos has a strong desire to see young players master the fundamental techniques needed to enjoy playing the game and as such will be working with our 2001 boys academy group. |

Scott Indermuehle started assisting the 2001 boys Spring of 2010. Scott grew up in Milwaukee WI area where he started playing U9 select soccer and continued to play through high school. He has seven years of coaching recreational soccer for his two boys who currently play for TUSC on the 97 Red and 2001 teams. Scott holds his E-license and brings 11 years of educational experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Sumner County School System. |

Joseph Jeffers was born in Tampa, Florida and began playing at age 5. He started playing Olympic Development Program at age 10 in Bradenton, FL. and was fortunate enough to train one morning with the US men's national team in 1994 when the US hosted the world cup. Joseph played ODP until he was 13 then his family moved to Gallatin, TN where he joined the local select soccer team, Gallatin Futbol Club 84, where he played until high school. Joseph attended and played for Gallatin High as well as Beech High School Varsity squads and is now currently playing for Volunteer State Community College where he is a player/coach. Joseph will be assisting with the boys 2000 program at TN United. |

Bryan Johnson, is the former Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN and was the Men's Conference co-coach of the year in 2002. He is also a former assistant coach at Belmont University. Bryan has won 8 division 1 club state championships with 5 different club teams. He is also a former TN ODP coach on both the boys and girls sides. He played for several seasons with the Nashville Metros, both outdoors and indoors, and was all-state at Franklin High School in 1991. He played collegiately at Belmont University and Maryville College, which played in their first NCAA Tournament his senior year. Bryan is coaching the 93 Girls Red team and assisting with the 94 boys team, and currently holds the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. |

Dwayne Judkins, Graduated from White House High in 1992. In 2000 became a part of White House Soccer Club, where he was a coach and trainer for both recreational & club teams. He was on the board of directors for five years as the director of mini kickers before moving to TN United where he enjoys his time now as a coach with the 99 boys in the academy program. |

Chris Kavanagh: Comes to Tennessee from Dublin, Ireland. Chris played at a high level until the age of eighteen. After an injury ended him playing competitively, he went on to receive his "uefa b" coaching license and continued to coach with various teams throughout England and Ireland. He then moved to California to earn his degree in Theology. Chris comes to this club with a wealth of experience from Europe and Southern California. He coaches the 96 girls and 97 boys in 2010 after leading the 95 boys to state finals in 09. Chris lives and serves as a youth pastor with his Wife in Goodlettsville. |

John-David (JD) Murphy, comes to TN United after completing a successful playing career as the goalkeeper at Lipscomb University. He is a Canadian native moving up the ranks from the Ontario Youth Soccer League to become a member of the U-18 national team pool for his country. He trained with Bury F.C. in England before returning to pursue a degree in business management and marketing. JD has been an assistant, goalkeeper and head coach at the youth level for the Ajax United and Whitby Iroquois clubs in Canada as well as a season as the middle school coach at Good Pasture. JD holds a USSF "C" License. JD will be coaching the 98 girls red team and the 97 girls red team. JD also works with the club's goalkeeping program. |

Nolan Pittman was born in 1983 and is originally from Richmond, VA. Nolan played four years at the NCAA division I level for Belmont University in Nashville, TN from 2001 to 2005. While at Belmont, he also played with the Nashville Metros, a premier development league team. He was team captain for his varsity high school team and still holds the record for most goals scored in both a single season and during his four years at school. He spent one summer while in high school on a European soccer tour with his former select club team competing against youth teams from Holland and Belgium. Nolan is coaching the 98 girls white team and the 2001 Academy girls. Nolan holds a USSF D license. |

Mario Sanchez, was born in Miami, Fl. grew up playing soccer with select clubs in Miami. Attended Miramar High School and was a district and regional champions. Attended Miami Dade Community College where he played in a National Championship. Transferred to Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY. Where he finished his college career. Played two years with the U.S.I.S.L. Florida Stars professional team. Currently is the coach for the 96 Girls red and is also the coach for Beech High school after being an assistant for the girls and boys for the last four years. |

Bob Schmidle began playing soccer in New Jersey at the age of five. He later moved to Germantown, TN where he was captain of his high school team and had the opportunity to play in several European countries during his playing career. Since graduating from the University of Tennessee he has continued to play in adult leagues for many years. Over the last ten years he has coached both boys and girls teams ranging from U-6 rec. to U-13 select. He began with TN united in 2007 helping with the '98 boys and currently works with the '00 girls academy. He currently holds a USSF D license. |

Dusty Sharp, was born in Nashville in 1981. He grew up in Knoxville playing at the club level initially for Smoky Mountain Soccer club and later Knoxville Impact. A four year varsity starter at Bearden High School. He signed an athletic scholarship and played four years at King College in Bristol, TN. His junior year of college (summer 02) he traveled to Gambia, West Africa and trained with the National Team. Has helped coach various camps throughout his college career and assisted with coaching at Tennessee High School on the JV level.. He is in his second year of law school at Nashville School of Law and has been working with TUSC’s girls 99 team. He will now head the 95 boys blue team and the 93 girls white team. Dusty holds a USSF D license. |

Katie Shelton-Murphy was born in 1986 and from Hendersonville, TN. She began playing soccer at the age of 4. She was captain of her varsity high school team her sophomore through senior year. Katie played five years of NCAA Division I soccer at Lipscomb University in Nashville from 2004-2009. While at Lipscomb, Katie was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference First Team in 2007 as well as Atlantic Sun’s Defensive Player of the year. She was NCAA Statistical Champion in 2006 for saves per game and named to the All Conference Second Team in 2006 and 2008. Katie holds the all time record for the Atlantic Sun Goalkeepers for the most saves in a career and is currently ranked in the top ten for saves in a career in the NCAA record book. Katie currently holds a USSF “E” license and will pursue her “D” this summer. Katie takes over the newly formed 99 gils blue team. |

Tyler Suffron , Tyler Played professionally for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds for the first time in 2006. Suffron was a team captain at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., where he played from 2001-2004. He started all 18 games in 2004, scoring five goals and assisting on three others. The Columbus, OH. resident finished his career at Belmont second in school history in career assists (12), second in games started (65) and fourth in career points with 32 (10 goals, 12 assists). During his time at Belmont, Suffron also played for the Nashville Metros of the Premier Development League and was a Team of the Week selection during the 2002 season. Tyler has recently coached the U-17 Brentwood assault team and now joins TN United to work with our 97 boys red team . |

Eric Susewind returns to work with the 99 boys red and 98 boys blue and is also in his second season as a volunteer assistant for men's soccer. Susewind enjoyed a decorated playing career at Belmont. A four-year starter and two-year team captain for the Bruins, Susewind earned Second Team All-Atlantic Sun honors in 2005 and 2006. Versatile and skilled, Susewind established himself as one of the top players in the conference at both forward and midfield. He ranks among the program's career leaders in minutes played, matches played and assists. Susewind earned in bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Belmont in 2007. A native of Houston, Texas, Susewind has coached club soccer in the Nashville area for the past three years. Susewind holds a USSF National D license and NSCAA Goalkeeper Regional and State license. |

Ray Trotter, has lived in Gallatin Tennessee since 1993. Ray developed a passion for the sport of Soccer as his daughters started with the Gallatin recreational program when they were four and five years old. Ray coached for five years and held the position of publicity director for three years in the Gallatin recreational program. He received an E license from the state in 2005 and followed that by obtaining his D. He coached the last Gallatin Lady Shockers select team prior to following his daughters to Tennessee United. Ray continues to try to maintain a healthy life style and learn the game as he plays with the adult pick up group on Wednesday nights at Drakes Creek. Ray relinquishes his 97 girls blue team this year to assist with the 95 boys blue team. |

Steve Yates Yattor has been a mainstay in the Nashville soccer community for close to two decades He played his club soccer in England with local amateur team, continuing in both the open league and over 30 league on his arrival in Nashville. From 1988 - 1991 coached in the TN Olympic Development Program. Coached travel from 1994 to 2005 with various travel teams and had the honor of winning 8 state championships and one super club regional. 3 of the state championships were at the D. 1.level. Steve holds an NSCCA national license and will be coaching our 93 boys again. |

Vince Wehby joins TN United for his first year of select soccer coaching along with his daughter who begins her career in the club. He has coached previously in the HSC recreational program and now mentors academy players in the girls 2001 age group. Vince holds a USSF E license. |

Kurt Willms joins the club in Spring 2010 to work with the 2000 academy boys teams. He began coaching as an assistant to his parents in middle and high school as he continued his 9 year youth soccer playing career including two years select soccer at Ballistic United Soccer Club in Pleasanton, CA, 4 years in high school and 1 year of club soccer in college. For 6 years he was also a licensed FIFA referee. Kurt recently took his E license and brings a background in child development to the age group having a Masters Degree in Education. |
Goalkeeping Coach: Chris Thurman, played his high school soccer at Gallatin High School before moving on and becoming a 4-year starter for Tenn. Wesleyan College. He also had spells with the Knoxville Impact and TN Rhythm before beginning his coaching career. Chris has been an assistant coach for both the men and women at Tenn. Wesleyan, and the keeper coach at Beech high school and currently, Station Camp High School Girls Head Coach. He is the director of the goalkeeping camp at Maryville College and completed his national goalkeeping license in Ft. Lauderdale in January 2005.
Fitness, Strength & Conditioning Coach: Mark Lowry, is the owner of Fit Foundation. He was previously with Prime Fitness as the managing partner. Mark has been in the field of fitness and performance training for over 15 years. He has a Master's Degree in Education and worked as a College track coach for several years after completing his education. He specialized in sprints, hurdles, and jumps in the College ranks and was a part of two National Championship Track and Field teams. He has coached over 20 All-Americans and National Champions combined, and he continues to work with athletes of all ages to improve speed and strength. In 2004 and 2005 he coached two high school athletes to the State Track Meet, both finishing in the top 8.
Yoga Instructor: Wendy Allen is long time yoga practitioner and instructor with a passion for bringing the practical application of yoga to her students. She uses her yogic knowledge to help athletes improve their flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, concentration, cardiovascular capacity and more! Her knowledge is conveyed to her students in detailed explanations, sports related examples and entertaining class sequences. Wendy has a wide range of teaching experience including student athletes, soccer teams, and persons recovering from injuries, children, pregnant women, adults, and seniors. She completed a 14 month teacher training course at the Southern Institute for Yoga Instructors and has practiced under K-Lea Gifford, Roger Cole, Diane Avice Du Buisson, Betty Larson, Patricia Sullivan, Ramanand Patel, and other world renowned yoga instructors. Wendy owns her own yoga studio where she offers regular classes as well as private sessions.
Sports Psychologist: Tiffany Watson, a Nashville native, is a graduate of Harpeth Hall High School class of 1999. She played at the collegiate club level at the University of Richmond following 7 years in the Williamson County and Brentwood soccer clubs as well as the Tennessee ODP program. She received her USSF National C level license and looks forward to putting it to good use with TN United in the Spring with the 93 girls white team. Tiffany has coached youth soccer for three years and is served as the head varsity coach at Harpeth Hall. She was also the men’s club soccer coach at Georgia Southern University where she earned her Masters Degree in Sport Psychology. Tiffany currently teaches at Belmont University in the Sport Science Department and graduated in August with her PhD in Health and Human Performance.
Ben Fisher, Former Belmont standout Ben Fisher recently completed his third season as a full-time assistant coach with the Bruins. Fisher joined the staff after playing in the A-League, one step below Major League Soccer, from 1999-2002. The defender played three seasons 1999-2001 for the Nashville A-League organization becoming the franchise leader in minutes played and suited up for the Cincinnati Riverhawks in 2002. He was actively involved in the Riverhawks’ community relations efforts, making various public appearances as well as participating in youth camps. He also gained coaching experience in 2001 when he led the U-18 Tennessee Football Club and the U-15 Music City Sting. Fisher has also coached the HFC Hurricanes and has been training our teams at TUSC on “Friday’s with the Ironman.” He will be working with our 94 boys team.
Adam Gutzman. Adam, grew up playing club soccer in Hendersonville, graduating from Beech High School and continued his career at Maryville College. A four year starter and receiving many accolades he helped lead the Scots to their first ever Sweet Sixteen Appearance in 05. While at Maryville Coach Gutzman broke and still holds 2 school records including Single Season Shutout's and the Career Shutout's record. After completing college in 06, Coach Gutzman went on to be a grad assitant coach at Gardner Webb and the Assistant Coach at Louisburg College. In his first year Coach Gutzman helped the Eagles finish 3rd in the Nation. Along the way Gutzman has coached many club teams, and is very active in various camps around the country.
Barry Jones, was born in North Wales U.K. He played high school and college soccer. He came to the U.S. following graduate school and, after a series of moves from Arizona to Virginia, to England, back to Virginia, in 1972 he finally settled in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Shortly after that, in 1976, he became a charter member of the Board of the Hendersonville Soccer League (HSL) and was its Commissioner from 1978 to 1983. He was also a coach of the U-14 and U-16 boys select teams (Hendersonville United 64 and 67’s) and stayed with them through U-19. He has since been a trainer for a number of boys and girls teams and has also been a goalkeeper coach for HSL and for the MTFC Quest program. To help with that effort, Barry went through a series of training courses culmination with the Advanced National Diploma of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and he also gained a United States Soccer Federation “A” License. He has served on the staff of the Tennessee Soccer Academy and has been a coaching instructor with Tennessee Soccer for over 20 years. Last year, in 2004, he was inducted into the Tennessee State Soccer Hall of Fame.
Kacey Kant, has now finished coaching his third age group at TN United after previously working with the ’88 girls. Kacey has taken the reins of the ’95 boys blue team last season as well as the 92 girls. He holds a USSF D License. Kacey is currently taking a break from coaching teams at TN United but remains with us as a staff coach.

Earle Davidson - Head Coach Belmont University
Earle Davidson is entering his eighth season at the helm of the Belmont soccer program and earned Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year honors last season after helping the Bruins turn the corner in the program’s competitive life.
His career at Belmont began in 1995 when he joined Ronnie Littlejohn’s staff. Following the 1996 season, the head coaching job came open and Davidson became the third head coach in school history. In his first season as Belmont’s head coach, he led the team to a 5-11 record that was highlighted by a 2-1 victory over the Memphis Tigers who were at the time ranked in the Top-25 in the nation.
Davidson has seen four former players begin professional soccer careers, three with the local A-League team, the Nashville Metros/Tennessee Rhythm while Chris Van Atta played for an indoor soccer team in Kansas City. Among those players is current assistant coach Ben Fisher who also played for the Cincinnati Riverhawks.
Born in New York City and growing up in New Jersey, Davidson played his high school soccer at Mendham High School. He graduated in 1985 and decided to come to Nashville and play collegiate at Vanderbilt University. His career at Vanderbilt culminated during his senior season when Davidson received the 1989 McDonald’s Award for Outstanding Performance.
Following his collegiate playing days, Coach Davidson moved west to Salt Lake City, Utah and joined the Salt Lake Sting of the now defunct American Professional Soccer League (APSL). After playing one season out there, he returned to Nashville to begin a five-year career with the Nashville Metros, at the time a member of the United States Interregional Soccer League (USISL).
Following the end of his professional career, Davidson decided to return his passion for the game by joining the coaching ranks. His first opportunity at collegiate level coaching came immediately following his playing days at Vanderbilt when he became the women’s team assistant. He served double-duty during the 1990 season when he also assisted the VU men’s team. Davidson also became the Director of Coaching for the Nashville Sting Club Teams. In addition to these coaching duties, he has the honor of assisting with Tennessee’s Olympic Development Program Teams.
Mark Foster played and coached in Ireland gaining a UEFA B license. He is currently a Junior at Trevecca University where he has been the team’s top goal scorer the previous two seasons and was voted Freshman of the year in his first season. Mark has coached in Russia with the Athletes in Action program and has worked with TN United’s Junior Academy program as well as our summer camp program and as an assistant coach at CPA. Mark is extremely well qualified having completed Irish Football Association certification in, coaching disabled footballers, teaching children fundamentals, child protection in sport, equality in sport, and SAQ. Mark has run our small group sessions on Wednesday nights.
Charles Morrow - Head Coach Lipscomb University
Charles Morrow, a former player and assistant coach for the Bison’s’ soccer program, returned as head coach last season posting a 5-11-1 record in his first season with the program.
He was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt University for three years before moving to Belmont Abbey in Belmont, N.C., as head coach. In two seasons at Belmont Abbey Morrow directed the men's soccer team at the NCAA Division II school to conference runner-up honors in both the regular season and the tournament. In 2003 the team finished third in the regular season, advancing to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Morrow is a 1997 Lipscomb graduate. He played for the Bison’s from 1994-1996, serving as team captain. He started his collegiate career at Queens College, an NCAA Division II soccer power. He served as assistant men's soccer coach at Lipscomb from 1996-1997 when the school was in the NAIA.
Morrow took over as head coach of both the boy's and girl's soccer teams at Goodpasture High School from 1998-2000. At Goodpasture the boy's team advanced to the regional semifinals in both 1999 and 2000. Morrow returned to the college coaching ranks in July of 2000 when he went to Vanderbilt as an assistant men's soccer coach.
